I'm a Toronto-based writer and creative director with more than a dozen years of integrated experience. Prior to my time in advertising, I used to work as a music journalist covering the rap beat. I'm a marathoner, a record collector and a rescue dog dad. I'm also an active mentor, as both a volunteer with Talk to a Creative Director and as a member of the Program Advisory Board at Centennial College.
I've worked with automotive leaders (BMW), major league sports franchises (Toronto Raptors, Maple Leafs), tech giants (Google, UBER), national telcos (TELUS), international beer brands (Sleeman Sapporo), non-profits (Plan International, MS Society of Canada), retailers (Canadian Tire) and more.
Across my career, I've shot campaigns in Malawi, South Africa and Tokyo, built a platform that lets agencies pay me in curry goat, lightly trolled politicians with Valentine's Day cards, and once convinced Malice from The Clipse to record a mixtape drop. I’ve managed teams, writers, designers (visual and UX), budgets, and client relationships. I've also picked up a couple of awards, including a Gold and Bronze CMA.
HOPE TO SPEAK SOON,
-AR
